As my work was still rather silent (one project had ended, and no new project in sight), we could go for a nice long roadtrip: Baltics, Poland (dropping off a friend from Finland there), Germany, France, Switzerland and back again via Germany and Poland.
We visited and reconnected with many friends and also had a wonderful weekend with my sisters <3
One highlight was our participation in the OM Teenstreet event in Offenburg, where we worked as volunteers and found many great new friends - it is quite certain that we will do this again.
For me it was a strong come back from OM events I had visited as a teenager myself in 1982 and 1983; these events have solidified my foundation in faith at the time, especially with the understanding that faith is different from culture, denomination or whatever we want to add, it has a core which is clear in the bible, and serves as a common ground with many diverse people.
Then we were thinking that it would be great to have a caravan with us when we do another event like this, so we asked my Cousin if we could borrow hers, as we knew she had a super nice one. Unfortunately she was just in the process of selling it.
Well - so after a little bit of thinking, we decided not to borrow, but to buy: And now our new caravan is called Samwise and will be a good companion on more trips to come!
But not only that, we found a great place near Nuksio (Naturepark, 30 min from our house) where the caravan stays and serves as our cottage with lake, sauna and forest....
