Rest and work

Weekends are a good chance to catch up with your home chaos... but this one didn't work out for that. I could manage to get our own bedroom quite far to the state as I want it to be, so I hope it'll be easier to find my clothes next week ;-) It's quite unbelievable how much stuff needs to be found again after a move.

Sunday we drove to Porvoo; we had got as wedding present a stay in a very nice Wellness Hotel near this old and beautiful town 50km outside of Helsinki. The Hotel is a very classic and peaceful place, maybe a bit more for old and rich people - we enjoy anyway! So we spent time swimming, resting, dining, walking - good rest after all the stress of the move. Still, it's not just romantic and sweet, as this is an "opportunity" to work on emotions and frustrations that can surface if the environmental noise becomes less. Maybe this is another important part of the work related to moving to a different country. We have to handle mourning about the separation from friends and relatives, about expectations of what and how things should happen now.
A relation needs work to become and stay healthy and strong. This is a good thing.

The dinner was very nice, we've been to a old restaurant in the old town of Porvoo, very finnish, very excellent food. The name is "Wanha Laamanni" which I found funnily constructed. "Wanha" is finnish written in an old (german) way, "Laa" can be understood from the english language (Law) and "manni" has again swedish/german roots. So a real mixture representing the history. The place used to be owned by a law counselor.
